British Toastmasters Club - "AAL IZZ WELL” - Feb 18, 2010
“ When you start a conversation with strangers just relax because Aal Izz Well “
There are four elements in making an interesting conversation with anyone which are:
- Confident
- Interesting to others
- Listening very closely
- Mutual Respect
ACB CL Indriati Permana Sari astonished audience in the prepared speech session with her Advance Manual 1 Interpersonal Communication “Conversing with Ease”. She convinced us that talking to stranger is not something to be avoid and afraid of and instead, it should be considered as an enjoyable and exciting moments to get to know more interesting people. Those elements presented were indeed a vital skill that a good communicator should have! TM Yenny Tanzino delivered the Ice Breaker “ He Died While He Was Still Alive “ and brought the other side of her who could cracked of the fear shell of the uncertainty and got out of the comfort zone egg as she transformed herself and became a dedicated teacher for children. She really is an eager member and stepped up in such a sort time to deliver her first prepared speech. Only a single day prior to “D Day” of her Basic Manual 1 Speech Project she jointed as the member of BTMC. What a motivated lady! The next impressive speech was delivered by TM Ole-Anders Hogstad in his Basic Manual 3 Speech who shared his tips on “ Invest in Property Development”. Everyone had a better understanding on how to find a good property for investment now then they already got those clues from TM Ole and could be more aware on how to deal with those tempting marketing adds of housing estates from now on.
Our TM Bobby Kalwani was truly made some differences this time, He sang a song and dance for us all that night. I believe the spirit of Toastmasters has got in to him deeply and made him an entertaining speaker. Our adorable TOM brought those funny and smart jokes along with him and turned our meeting in a colorful and vibrant atmosphere. We learned more from him about the mosaic of art, culture and tradition which India offered to the rest of the world through bollywood movies where India, the land of storehouse of beauty, dream, tradition and verve is shared and become famous. “ The Three Idiots “ movie which was played inspired us to release our self and relax in dealing with problems because “ Aal Izz Well “ when you always remind your self How GOD really is Great and a savior for human kind ! As our TOM Bobby Kalwani Quoted , “ Don’t tell GOD how big your problem is, but tell the Problem how big your GOD is ! “
The Table Topic Session was indeed full of excitement on the table since TM Fetty Kartini made a one of a kind session. She brought four rolls of Bollywood pictures actress and actors to be passed around to the audience while a soundtrack of “3 Idiots” movie played and whoever got the rolls must answered the questions thrown out by our Table Topic Master related to those pictures. Quite surprisingly to know the responses from those who got the rolls and spoke up their mind on their feet. Fajar, one of the guest who attended the meeting for a very first time and got the rolls of the ” 3 idiots actors picture ‘ shared us the moments when he felt being an idiot in his life and one of them was that when he felt nervous, he counted the floor tiles to ease the nervousness and made him more relax. His spontaneous and hilarious answers got him self the title of the Best Table Topic Speaker in the Hall Of Fame Session. Not to be missed at this session was, our Ms. President of BTMC, ACB CL Indriati Permanasari titled as both Best Prepared Speaker and Best Evaluator. Remarkable! She’s truly is an inspiration.
BTMC’s meeting finished strong by our TOM, TM Bobby Kalwani off course who fulfill his promise to sing some India’s songs along with its unique dances. He really got us a glimpse through India’s romantic stories and life. It’s an exceptional meeting indeed! Everyone laughed out loud and thrown out funny lines and jokes among each other and become happier and healthier that night!
